1. GETTING TO BHUTANa. By air Druk air is only national airline service in the country. Druk air flight is connected to Bangkok, Katmandu, Dhaka, Delhi, and Kolkata. During monsoon and winter, unpredictable weather forces can cause change in flight timing so travelers should consider including extra day in their itinerary. For your reservation CONTACT US b. By road The nearest Indian airport is in bagdogra, from their you can reach Bhutan‘s border town of Phuntsholing with 3-4 hours of drive. Usually lot of travel prefers to do the Indian hill station tour from bagdogra. 2. VISA AND PASSPORTValid passport and visa are essential. The visa is not issued by any Bhutan embassies abroad; it is only issued by ministry of foreign affair in Thimphu and must be obtained before your departure. We will arrange your traveling visa in Bhutan for you FILL UP VISA FORM. Once your visa is ready it will be sent to all the point of entry and you will get your original visa stamped at your point of entry in Bhutan. After reaching Bhutan you can obtain and extend your visa in Thimphu. 3. CUSTOMSExport of any sort of antiques, plants and animal products are strictly prohibited. Your personal electronic equipments like camera, video camera, computers etc must be declared on arriver and will be checked on your departure. 4. We like you to have travel insurance policy from your country. It should at least cover helicopter evacuation. We regret the unavailability of such policies in Bhutan. 8.ACCOMMODATIONSComfortable hotels and lodges are available in the entire major town. Compared to east of Bhutan western Bhutan has lots of hotels options, on your extra budget we have some of the luxury hotels like Aman kora, Uma, Taj hotel and Zhiwaling. 9. CLIMATEIt is difficult to accurately generalize the climate in Bhutan because of variation in elevations and seasons. However the central valley like Punakha, Wangduephodrang, monger, Trashigang and 10.LANGUAGEDzongkha is the national language.
English is also widely spoken as it is the medium language in the schools. Nepali is commonly spoken in southern region of Bhutan. |
