1. From which airport can I depart for Bhutan? is there any other option?

Druk air is only the international flight in Bhutan and you can depart for Paro international airport from BANGKOK (THAILAND), KATMANDU (NEPAL) AND CALCUTTA (INDIA)
You have the option of driving into Bhutan from Indian town like Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong to Bhutan border town at Phuntsholing. From Phuntsholing it will take another 6-7 hours to reach Thimphu or Paro

2. Do I need to get visa for Bhutan? where can I get visa from? how long does it take?

Yes you need to have visa and it is issued only in Thimphu, Bhutan, which you can apply through the local travel company. No abroad embassies issue the Bhutan tourist visa.
you can send your passport detail to us (local tour operator) and your visa will be ready within 10 days of working hour. The processed visa number is then faxed or emailed to you. When you arrive at entry point of Bhutan, you will then have your VISA stamped on passport.

3. Do I have to carry cash or can I use credit card in Bhutan to shop?

You may carry cash in small quantity for your personal expenses. Credit card is accepted in most of the hotels, souvenirs and handicraft shops and charges 7% as processing fee. AMERICAN EXPRESS and VISA are the one widely used

4. Can I travel as individual without a tour guide?

You cannot travel as individual without tour guide, but you may do travel as individual provided you have a licensed tour guide and you need to pay us$ 40 extra per day as surcharge.

5. Why the tariff is very high (expensive) to visit Bhutan?

The tour tariff is fixed by the government (Tourism council of Bhutan) which is very high,
but do be alarmed, this amount includes all the services once you are in Bhutan. The service included are bed on twin share basis, 3 meals, tea, transportation, a licensed tour guide, entry fees and all the trekking equipments if you're on trekking.

6. How do I make payments for my tour? How safe is the bank transfer?

You can wire our payment directly to our bank account (which will be sent to you, when you book the tour). we also accept the payment in credit card. bankers check and personal check is also accepted, provided we receive it in 60 days before your departure.
if you feel unsafe on bank transfer, you can first make the payment for your Druk air ticket and after you receive the e-ticket confirmation. Then you can make the remaining payment.

7. Can we extend our visa/itinerary upon reaching Bhutan?

yes you can extend your visa/itinerary upon reaching Bhutan. In such case you have to pay the full tariff for actual number of days extended plus visa extension fee of US$ 15.

8. what are the major attractions for the tourist?

The top most attration is the colourful annual festival (tshechu) CHECK FOR THE FESTIVAL DATES which is held inside age old Dzongs (fortress) and temples. Othe attration is the unique and vibrant culture of Bhutan.
You may consider the well preserved lush green enviroment as other attraction...ofcourse clean air comes free.
